Vice-Minister of Commerce Li Fei, also deputy director of the leadership committee of the 133rd China Import and Export Fair, visited the fair’s exhibition halls and made investigations on May 4.
Li, with his colleagues, visited the exhibition booths for Guizhou and Gansu’s rural revitalization and the Malaysian Pavilion, as well as corporate booths including Nanjing Cocam Outdoor Products, Zhejiang Cathaya International Co, Shandong INTCO, Shenzhen Pangao Electronics, and Guangdong Foodstuffs Import and Export Group.
They learned about the product characteristics, design and development, the number of orders, intellectual property rights protection, supply and procurement situations of companies, and their current difficulties.
Li expressed appreciation for the companies’ continuous efforts in transformation, upgrading and expanding overseas markets.
In the face of the severe and complex foreign trade situation, he encouraged the exhibitors to keep up with industrial trends, seize market opportunities, strengthen design and development capabilities, pay more attention to brand building, create high-quality products, and constantly raise their market competitiveness.
Li said Canton Fair is an important platform for China to promote international trade, and also a crucial channel for Chinese enterprises to explore the global market.
He called on the exhibitors to make full use of the Canton Fair platform to expand market, promote business exchanges, and contribute to the high-quality development of foreign trade.
He said the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant institutions to provide services for exhibitors, and further improve IP protection and other related policies, in a bid to create a good environment for enterprises to carry out independent innovation and development.
